Forschungsflughafen Braunschweig: Das Institut für Flugantriebe und Strömungsmaschinen (IFAS) der TU Braunschweig hat einen neuen Windkanal zur Erforschung von Triebwerkskomponenten eingeweiht. Der so genannte Propulsor-Prüfstand dient der Erforschung derjenigen Flugantriebskomponenten, die den Schub zum Fliegen erzeugen. Ziel ist es, die Grundlagen für Flugzeugantriebe der nächsten Generationen zu verbessern.
